These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website design, hosting, and related services provided by Hazcott Systems (a trading name of Hazcott Limited), referred to as "we", "us", or "our". Hazcott Limited is the contracting entity for all services. By purchasing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms do not constitute legal advice. If you require legal guidance, please seek independent professional advice.

1. Scope of Service

Hazcott Systems (a trading name of Hazcott Limited) provides a starter website subscription service and related business growth tools for UK-based trade businesses. The standard service includes:

  • A professional, mobile-friendly 1-page website (standard)
  • Web hosting on our servers
  • SSL security certificate
  • A .co.uk domain name (subject to availability)
  • Contact form and click-to-call button
  • Basic Google indexing (site submission)
  • Basic text updates when requested
  • Ongoing hosting and maintenance

What is NOT included

The following are explicitly not included in the standard £30/month subscription:

  • Search engine optimisation (SEO) services
  • Lead generation or pay-per-click advertising
  • Google ranking guarantees
  • Guaranteed leads, enquiries, or customers
  • Unlimited design revisions or redesigns
  • Additional pages beyond the standard single page (available as an upgrade)
  • E-commerce functionality
  • Custom development or integrations

Additional services such as SEO, automation, review funnels, and multi-page websites may be offered separately at additional cost.

2. No Guarantee of Results

Hazcott Limited (trading as Hazcott Systems) does not guarantee any specific business outcomes from the use of our service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Increased enquiries, leads, or customers
  • Higher Google rankings or search visibility
  • Revenue or profit growth
  • Return on investment

Our service is a starter website designed to give your business a professional online presence. What happens after your website is live — including search engine visibility, customer enquiries, and business growth — depends on many factors outside our control.

3. Payment Terms

  • The service costs £30 per month, billed monthly
  • There are no setup fees for the standard service
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe
  • Subscription payments are recurring and will continue until cancelled
  • Your first payment is taken when you sign up, and subsequent payments are taken on the same date each month

4. Website Build and Delivery

  • We aim to have your website designed and live within 3–7 working days of receiving all required information from you
  • Delivery timelines depend on how quickly you provide the information, content, and photos needed to build your site
  • We will send you a preview for approval before making your website live
  • We reserve the right to use professional stock images if you do not provide your own photos

5. Content and Intellectual Property

  • You are responsible for providing accurate and lawful content for your website, including text, images, and business information
  • You must have the rights to any photos, logos, or materials you provide to us
  • We retain ownership of the website design, code, and templates used to build your site
  • Your business content (text, images you've provided) remains your property
  • While your subscription is active, you have a licence to use the website we build for you
  • If you cancel, we can assist with transferring your content on request

6. Updates and Maintenance

  • Basic text updates (e.g. phone number changes, address updates, minor wording changes) are included in your subscription
  • We aim to process update requests within 1–3 working days
  • Design changes, layout modifications, new pages, or significant redesigns are not included and may be quoted separately
  • We reserve the right to define what constitutes a "basic text update" versus a design change

7. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time — there is no long-term contract
  • To cancel, email us at hello@hazcotsystems.co.uk with at least 30 days' notice
  • Your website will remain live until the end of your current billing period
  • After cancellation, your website and hosting will be taken offline
  • We can provide your content (text, images) upon request at the time of cancellation

8. Refunds

  • Subscription payments are non-refundable once the billing period has started
  • If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment and before your website has been built, you may request a full refund
  • No refunds will be issued for partial months or unused time within a billing period

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our service to:

  • Publish illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful content
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Promote fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive business practices
  • Distribute malware, spam, or any form of malicious software
  • Engage in any activity that violates UK law

We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend, or terminate any website that we believe violates these terms, without refund.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Hazcott Limited (trading as Hazcott Systems) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our service
  • We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, profits, or anticipated savings
  • We are not liable for the performance or non-performance of your website in search engines
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of content you provide
  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate your service if:

  • You breach any of these Terms
  • Your website is used for illegal or harmful purposes
  • Payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days
  • You engage in abusive behaviour towards our staff

In such cases, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and are not obligated to provide a refund.

12. Communication Consent

By submitting a form on our website or signing up for our service, you consent to receiving communications from us via email and SMS. These may include:

  • Responses to your enquiry
  • Website build updates and approvals
  • Billing and account notifications
  • Service updates and new feature announcements

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time. Service-related communications will continue while your subscription is active. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

13. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to deliver parts of our service, including:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • GoHighLevel for form submissions and CRM
  • Google Analytics for anonymised website analytics

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
